Bridget Harding/Katarina Su Advance to Doubles Final at ITA Oracle Cup; Harding Reaches Semis in Singles Draw

For the second straight year, Emory University junior Bridget Harding and senior Katarina Su advanced to the finals of the ITA Oracle Cup (previously known as the ITA Small College National Tournament) following a pair of victories on Thursday evening at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Club in Surprise, Arizona. Earlier in the afternoon, Harding reached the semifinals in the singles draw, winning her lone singles match of the day.

Harding opened day one of the ITA Oracle Cup with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Skidmore's Michelle Fuca to move onto the semifinals of the Division III singles draw. Harding, the No.-2 seed in the bracket, will now face Washington University's Rebecca Ho on Friday. Ho, the draw's No.-3 overall seed, was victorious over UT-Dallas' Kathy Joseph 7-5, 6-4 on Thursday.

Su and Harding, the draw's No.-1 overall seed, made quick work of their first round opponents, blanking Linfield's Ella Riddle and Elsa Harris 6-0, 6-0. In the semifinals, the Eagles' duo bested Wisconsin-Whitewater's Megan Humphreys and Gabi Kitchell 6-2, 6-2. Harding and Su will now face the draw's No.-2 seed John's Hopkins Ashnaa Rao and Mikey Barthelmass in the finals tomorrow night.
