Rebecca Ho of Washington University Named ITA National Senior Player of the Year

Washington University in St. Louis senior Rebecca Ho was named the 2017 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Senior Women's Tennis Player of the Year, as announced Wednesday at the NCAA Individual Championship Banquet in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Ho, a first-team all-University Athletic Association (UAA) selection in singles and doubles, has a 53-13 overall record. She is the top-ranked singles player in the Central Region and No. 4 in NCAA Division III. Ho has a 29-3 singles record this season, including a 20-2 mark at No. 1 singles. She is also 13-2 this season against ranked opponents. 

Ho and senior Kaylan Griffith have a 24-10 mark while playing No. 1 doubles, including a 16-9 mark in dual matches. The duo is ranked No. 1 in the Central Region and No. 3 in NCAA Division III, and won the USTA/ITA Central Region Doubles Championship in the Fall. 

Ho is the winningest player in school history with a 187-56 overall record, including a 105-17 mark while playing No. 1 singles the past three years for the Bears. She is a seven-time All-America selection, and has qualified for the NCAA Championship in both singles and doubles the past two years. Ho is also a two-time USTA/ITA Central Region Doubles champion, and also won the 2014 USTA/ITA Central Region singles title.
