Emory Women's Tennis Assistant Coach Barbora Krtickova Inducted into Armstrong State Hall of Fame

Emory University Women's Tennis Assistant Coach Barbora Krtickova was inducted into the Armstrong State University Athletic Hall of Fame this past Thursday, December 7th, as part of the institution's final induction class.

Krtickova was a standout performer on the Pirates' Women's Tennis team from 2011-2014, helping Armstrong State to the NCAA Division II National Championship in both 2012 and 2013. Krtickova earned ITA Singles and Doubles All-America recognition four times during her career and was selected as a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American (Third Team in 2013, Second Team in 2014) in addition to being named a four-time ITA Scholar-Athlete, a four-time All-Peach Belt Conference Singles and Doubles honoree, the 2011 PBC Freshman of the Year and ITA National Rookie of the Year. She was crowned the 2010 and 2012 ITA "Super Bowl" doubles champion and the 2012 ITA "Super Bowl" singles champion. Krtickova finished her career as the program's all-time leader in overall wins (306), doubles wins (170), and second all-time with 136 singles victories.

She joined the Emory Women's Tennis coaching staff as a graduate assistant prior to the 2014-15 season before being elevated to her current position in July of 2016. She has helped the Eagles reach the Division III National Championship match every season including capturing the 2016 national title.
