Her win extends the Eagles winning streak at the regional as an Emory player has now won the singles championship 17 consecutive years. Gonzalez-Rico advanced to the title match earlier in the morning after defeating teammate Daniela Lopez in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 while Abdulloeva won her semifinal match against sophomore Defne Olcay, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2.

In the doubles final, Gonzalez-Rico and Fatemi won the all-Emory affair, besting Lopez and freshman Emma Cartledge 6-4, 7-5 in an evenly played match. Gonzalez-Rico and Fatemi are now the 12th consecutive Emory pairing to win the ITA South doubles title.
