Trio of All-UAA Performances Lead the Way as Spartan Women Place Fifth at UAA Championship

Senior captain Christina Tam (Trinidad and Tobago/Bishops), junior Rachel Tan (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) and sophomore Kelsey Aamoth (Solon, Ohio/Solon) all turned in top-three finishes, and the Case Western Reserve University women's track & field team finished fifth of seven after the second and final day of the 2014 University Athletic Association Outdoor Championship at Amos Alonzo Stagg Field.

CWRU finished with 76.5 points. Washington University in St. Louis won the team title with a score of 211 points. The University of Chicago finished second at 201.5, while Emory University (Ga.) and New York University rounded out the top five.

Tam finished in third place in the weight throw with a mark of 114 feet, two inches (34.82m). Tan also finished earned All-UAA honors with a third-place finish in the high jump competition by clearing the bar at 5'1".
