The Case Western Reserve University women's track & field program has earned a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team award for the 2014 season.

A total of 158 women's teams in Division III earned the honor with a cumulative team grade point average of 3.10 or higher. Under second-year Head Coach Eric Schmuhl, the Spartans ranked in the upper half at 3.42.

This past spring, 17 of the team's 31 second year or higher members earned University Athletic Association All-Academic honors, given to student-athletes who have completed at least one full year of college study and who carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30.

In competition, the Spartans broke a combined three school records between the indoor and outdoor seasons. Rising senior Sophia Herzog (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) accounted for two with records in both the indoor and outdoor pole vault. Rising junior Kelsey Aamoth (Solon, Ohio/Solon) set the other in the indoor 3,000-meter run. Both Herzog and Aamoth were UAA All-Academic honorees.
