From Carnegie Mellon University Athletics

Senior Erin Kiekhaefer (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team set a new school record in the 1,500-meter run on Monday, May 11 at Swarthmore College's Final Qualifier.

Kiekhaefer finished second in her heat and 16th overall, breaking a nine-year-old record set by Melissa Baustert in 1996, with a final time of 4:35.54. Her time was also second-best among Division III runners.
