Maroons Compete in Three Finals on Last Day of NCAA Outdoor Championships

The University of Chicago women's track and field team reached the finals in three events and earned one All-American honor at day three of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships on Saturday.

Freshman Ade Ayoola got the day rolling in the long jump in her debut at the NCAAs. Ayoola ended up tied for 20th in the finals with a height of 1.59 meters.

Later in the day, junior Brianna Hickey ran in the finals of the 1,500 meters after posting the eighth-fastest time in prelims on Friday. Hickey took 12th in the finals with a time of 4:49.06.

The final Maroon to race was sophomore Michelle Dobbs in the 800 meters. After advancing through prelims with the third-fastest time, Dobbs placed fourth in the finals with a mark of 2:10.02. That finish gave Dobbs her fourth All-American honor of her career, including her second in the outdoor 800 meters.
