Julie Williamson Breaks Emory 800-Meter Run Record at Kentucky Relays

Senior Julie Williamson broke the school record in the 800m Run to lead the Emory University track & field teams at the Kentucky Relays held on the campus of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. There was no team scoring at the meet.

Williamson ran a 2:11.87 to win the event in a field comprised of mostly Division I runners, besting the 26-year old record which was held by Katherine Marshall who registered a time of 2:11.99 at the 1990 NCAA Championships.

The women's 4x400m Relay of freshman Dilys Osei, sophomore Julia Leventhal, freshman Ariana Newhouse and sophomore Erica Goldman also had a strong showing at the meet, running the third fastest time in program history and the fourth fastest mark in Division III this season, clocking in at 3:48.71 to place second in the event.

Senior Alexandra Aiello ran a personal-best mark of 26.08 in a 17thplace effort in the 200m.

The women's 4x100 Relay of Osei, Leventhal, freshman Dani Bland and Aiello ran the second fastest time of the season, finishing third with a time of 47.93 and freshman Hayley Moyer recorded a personal-best time of 26.85, coming in 19th in the 200m Dash to round out the top performances for the Eagles.
