Chicago Clinches All-America Status in 1,600 Relay at NCAA Championship

In the second-to-last race of the meet, the University of Chicago women's track and field team broke through with an All-American performance in the 4x400-meter relay at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday.

UChicago's 4x400 relay of sophomore Emma Koether, senior Eleanor Kang, freshman Alisha Harris and senior Michelle Dobbs ran a time of 3:48.31 in the finals. The eighth-place finish clinched All-America honors for all four runners.

Junior Megan Verner-Crist also ran on Saturday in the 1,500 meter finals. She ended up taking 11th overall, crossing the line in 4:43.47.
