Maroons Place Third in Benedictine Relays

In the final meet before the conference championships, the University of Chicago track and field team competed in the two-day Benedictine University Relays on Friday and Saturday.

UChicago's women finished third out 28 teams, scoring 84.5 points. Wheaton College was the team champion with 95 points. 

Senior Michelle Dobbs captured a win for UChicago in the women's 800 meters. Her winning time stood at 2:18.48. Junior teammate Megan Verner-Crist was right behind her as the runner-up in 2:20.18. The Maroons also placed second and third in the 3,000 meters with freshman Maggie Boudreau finishing in 10:37.40 and freshman Claire Brockwaycrossing the line at 10:38.37.

Junior Ade Ayoola garnered third place in the high jump (1.60 meters) and junior Olivia Cattau was also third in the 100-meter hurdles (15.31).
