Emory University Track and Field Head Coach John Curtin and Assistant Coach Jordan Hill were honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday, earning Regional Coach of the Year awards.

Curtin, currently in his 33rd season with the program, was named the South/Southeast Women's Outdoor Coach of the Year for the third straight season and sixth time overall. He also was named the region's indoor coach of the year in March. Hill, in her second season with the Eagles, garnered South/Southeast Assistant Coach of the Year honors for the first time with the program. She was named the D-III Men's National Assistant Coach of the Year in 2014.

Both Curtin and Hill have led the Emory Women's Track and Field team to a No.-1 ranking in the South/Southeast region, have the Eagles positioned eighth nationally and earlier this season, the coaching pair guided the team to a third place finish behind seven event titles at the UAA Outdoor Championships in Pittsburgh.

Hill, who oversees sprints, hurdles and horizontal jumps, has especially seen her athletes flourish during the spring, with four individual event qualifiers and both sprint relays qualifying for the NCAA meet. In addition, she saw junior Dani Bland capture the UAA Most Outstanding Performer of the Year award and the 4x400m Relay team post a Division III-leading time of 3:44.64.

Curtin and Hill will lead a contingent of six Eagles at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships later this week (May 24-26) in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
