A small contingent of New York University women's track and field team members stayed in New York to compete in the Tom Farrell Invitational, which was hosted by St. John's University on Saturday, May 5, in Jamaica, NY.

Senior Brianna Yee took part in both the long jump and triple jump. The Blauvelt, NY, native recorded a career-best triple jump (10.83m) to secure third place. Yee also finished 10th in the long jump by clearing a distance of 4.80m.

"Brianna has been showing signs of having a breakthrough," said Head Coach Erison Hurtault. "This is a great sign for her getting to reach the 11m mark."

Yee was joined by freshman Kobi Kane in the long jump. The Palm Coast, FL, native landed in 30th place, clearing a jump of 3.48m.

The 400 meter hurdles saw Sherine Sbay place 10th. The senior posted a time of 1:16.55.
