From Washington University Athletics

Senior Annalise Wagner advanced to the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championship 800m finals after posting a winning time in the third heat of prelims on Friday evening at the Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

The WashU women are currently tied with Geneseo for third place with 19 points after Friday's events. George Fox moved into first place with 20 points as the Bears did not compete in any final events on the second day of action. The 800m prelims were originally scheduled for 5:15 p.m. but were pushed back more than three hours due to a weather delay.

Wagner finished the 800m prelims with her third fastest time of the season, crossing the finish line in 2:09.68. She set the race's pace and led for the final 600-meters.
