The No. 3 Washington University in St. Louis women's track and field team won the 2023 UAA Outdoor Championship on Sunday afternoon with 253.50 points. The win marks the Bears' sixth-consecutive title.
Junior Ebun Opata won the triple jump, hitting a mark of 12.01m which ranks eighth nationally.
The Bears' 4x100 ream of senior Mycah Clay, sophomore Lauren Gay, first-year Jasmine Wright and sophomore Nicole Stewart won with a time of 46.99 which ranks fifth nationally.
Junior Emma Kelley won the 400m, racing to a time of 56.11 while senior Sophie Fox took second in 57.73 which ranks 35th nationally.
Senior Aoife Dunne won the 800m, racing to a time of 2:11.72. Junior Ally Sarussi took fourth in 2:11.97 which ranks eighth nationally and senior Danielle Schultz finished fifth in 2:13.15 which is tied for 14th nationally.
Gay won the 200m with a time of 25.30 and Stewart finished second in 25.35. Wright claimed sixth in 25.86.
Graduate Miku Okada finished second in the high jump, clearing 1.62m. Junior Maddie Moenickheim finished in a three-way tie for fourth, clearing 1.52m while senior Laura Bucchieri took seventh with a jump of 1.47m.
Dunne finished second in the 1,500m with a time of 4:31.10 while senior Emily Konkus took third in 4:33.34 which ranks 10th nationally. Junior Helena Teixeira-Dasilva finished seventh with a time of 4:42.57 and senior Lindsay Ott took eighth in 4:42.86.
Gay finished third in the 100m hurdles, running a time of 14.65.
Stewart took third in the 100m, racing to a time of 12.26 while Wright claimed fifth in 12.33 and Clay finished sixth in 12.35.
Sophomore Ruby Kaplan finished third in the 400m hurdles, racing to a time of 1:05.21 which ranks 42nd nationally.
Konkus finished second in the 5,000m with a time of 17:01.49 while senior Ella Behrens finished third in 17:02.69. Senior Kiera Olson took eighth in 17:20.01.
