From Washington University Athletics

Junior Lucy Cheadle smashed her own school record en route to a fourth-place finish in the women's 5,000 meter run to highlight three All-America performances for the Washington University in St. Louis women's track & field teas Friday at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

Cheadle raced to her third straight All-America honor in the 5,000 with a time of 16:47.46 to finish in fourth place. She was just .25 of a second behind the third-place finisher. University of La Verne senior Lenore Moreno set a meet record to win the event in 16:39.16. Cheadle's time was nearly 17 seconds better than her previous school-record time of 17:04.20 set at the 2013 University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships.

Seniors Anna Etherington and Jasmine Williams also earned spots on the podium for the Washington U. women Friday. Etherington cleared a height of 3.80 meters to finish seventh in the pole vault. It marks the third straight All-America finish in the event for Etherington, who placed fourth each of the past two years. Williams picked up the first indoor All-America honor of her career with a seventh-place finish in the women's long jump. She recorded a leap of 5.52m, which was just seven centimeters off her career-best in the event.
