Mary Moore has been added to the New York University track & field men's and women's coaching staff an an assistant. She will work exclusively with the jumpers, hurdlers and throwers.
Moore joins the Violets after working as a volunteer assistant coach for the Columbia University track & field team during the 2014-15 season.
"I am excited to bring Mary on staff," said NYU Head Coach Will Boylan-Pett. "She is a former Division I athlete who will bring a great deal of experience to our program."
A 2013 graduate of Harvard University, Moore earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree majoring in sociology with a minor of English.
A four-year member of the Crimsons' track & field team, Moore competed in the heptathlon and high jump. She was the Ivy League Heptathlon Champion and High Jump Champion in 2013. Moore also received All-Ivy League honors during her sophomore, junior and senior seasons, and All-East Regional honors during her freshman, junior and senior campaigns.
Moore, who received the team's Most Valuable Performer Award in 2012 and 2013, was a NCAA Outdoor Championships qualifier in the high jump in 2013. She also served on Harvard's Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) during the 2012-13 season.
"Track and field has been a huge positive part of my life," Moore said. "I am really excited to work with the NYU track team and help give the student-athletes the best possible experience."
