Chicago Begins Indoor Campaign With Phoenix Invitational Title

The University of Chicago women's track and field team opened the indoor season by winning its own Phoenix Invitational on Saturday.

The Maroon women led the seven-team field with 264.5 points and outdistanced runner-up Aurora University's 145 points. 

UChicago finished with six wins for the men and five wins for the women. Junior Brianna Hickey had one of the biggest margins of victory on the day, as she won the women's 3,000 meters (10:38.69) by 24 seconds. 

Senior Pam Yu was a multi-event winner as she swept the triple jump (10.59 meters) and the long jump (4.98 meters).
