From Emory University Athletics
The Emory University track & field programs led the nation with 44 combined All-Region indoor track & field selections as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday afternoon. This is the first ever year the organization has given out All-Region honors.
The Emory women’s team also topped the country with 27 USTFCCCA All-Region selections with freshman and UAA Women’s Rookie of the Year Dilys Osei leading the team with three All-Region honors in the 200m Dash, 60m Hurdles and 4x400 Relay.
For the Emory men’s team, the Eagles received 17 USTFCCCA All-Region honors. Sophomore Daniel Pietsch earned a team-best three All-Region accolades in the 200m and 400m Dashes and the 4x400m Relay.
Osei, Pietsch along with Max Brown, Max Hoberman, Julie Williamson, Erica Goldman, Julia Leventhal and Ariana Newhouse will be in action this weekend representing Emory University at the 2016 NCAA Indoor Championships at Grinnell College in Grinnell, IA.
