Emory Track & Field Volunteers with Books For Africa

From Emory University Athletics

The Emory University Track and Field program returned from the holiday break and spent some of their time volunteering at the local Books for Africa warehouse this past Friday packaging books to donate to children and adults in need in Africa.

Books For Africa is a nonprofit organization serving as the largest shipper of donated textbooks to the African continent. The Atlanta warehouse ships anywhere from 20,000 to 60,000 books in an average week. Since 1988, Books For Africa has shipped nearly 32 million quality educational text and library books to children and adults in 49 African countries.
