Maroons Finish Second at IWU Triangular

The University of Chicago women's track and field team took second place at Illinois Wesleyan University's I-55 Triangular on Saturday.

The three-team meet included UChicago, host IWU and Washington University-St. Louis. The WashU women finished on top with 132 points, UChicago scored 101.5 points and IWU garnered 72.5 points.

UChicago hauled in four victories, including three in the longer distances. The junior trio of Cassidy McPherson, Kelsey Dunn and Khia Kurtenbach were first across the finish line in the 1,200 meters (3:46.06), one mile (5:23.11) and 3,000 meters (9:58.46), respectively. Junior Ade Ayoola was tops in the high jump at 1.65 meters.
