Maroons Finish Second at UAA Championships

The University of Chicago track and field teams wrapped up the two-day University Athletic Association (UAA) Indoor Track & Field Championships by capturing second place on the women's side on Sunday.

Washington University-St. Louis took the women's team title with 159 points. UChicago was runner-up with 99 points in the seven-team field. 

The Maroon women seized the UAA title in the high jump. Sophomore Alexandra Thompson recorded the top height at 1.64 meters. Junior Ade Ayoola was in a three-way tie for second place at 1.59 meters.

Junior Khia Kurtenbach was runner-up in the 3,000 meters in 9:46.30. The winner and Kurtenbach both surpassed the previous UAA record of 9:47.24. UChicago tallied three other All-UAA p
