Washington University Tops Engineer Invitational Competition

The Washington University in St. Louis women's track & field team captured the team title at the Engineer Invitational hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Saturday evening.

The women finished with a group leading 183.5 points followed by Bellarmine (137), Rose-Hulman (77.5), Kentucky Wesleyan (73.5), Transylvania (49), Thomas More (32), Franklin (28), Hanover (5.5) and Brescia (5). The men's 107 points placed second behind Rose-Hulman's 198 points and ahead of Wabash (106), Thomas More (62), Bellarmine (53), Kentucky Wesleyan (49), Transylvania (25), Franklin (15) and Brescia (3).

The women placed within the top five 24 times, including three first place finishes. Rebecca Ridderhoff, Kelli Hancock, Annalise Wagner and Daisy Ogede ran to a Rose-Hulman record time during the 4x400m relay (3:51.58). The 4x400m relay time is the top time within NCAA Division III this season.

Ridderhoff, Nicky Althoff, Wagner and Hancock teamed up for a first place time in the 4x200m relay (1:44.91). Cienna Jordan also claimed the long jump title with a distance of 5.12m.

Alison Lindsay ranks third in the country for the one-mile run after placing second at Rose-Hulman (5:00.74). Ridderhoff also ranks within the top five in Division III 60m hurdles (9.02) after her second place finish.
