From Case Western Reserve University Athletics
The Case Western Reserve University women's track and field team earned four first-place finishes at the Mount Union Tune Up in Alliance, Ohio.
Senior Cassandra Laios won the shot put (13.12m), freshman Julie Hines claimed the title in the 400-meter dash (1:02.16), senior Nimi Gupta won the weight throw (15.05m) and senior Rachel Laveson finished first in the 5,000-meter run (19:19.09).
In addition, sophomore Vanessa Pasadyn earned a second-place finish in the one-mile run (5:17.17) and sophomore Samantha Kelts finished second in the triple jump (10.23m). Senior Skylar Braga placed third in the long jump with a mark of 4.96 meters, while sophomore Shahed Eid finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:26.41.
