Bears Claim First in DIII Portion of Terre Haute Double Dual

The Washington University in St. Louis women's track & field program totaled nine first place finishes in a field of three Division III teams at the Rose-Hulman Terre Haute Double Dual.

The women's track & field team defeated Rose-Hulman (56) and Manchester (27). The Double Dual also featured Division I Indiana State and Illinois State to round out the five teams in the double dual.

For the Bears women, Eka Jose posted second place finishes in the long jump (5.20m) and triple jump (11.4m). The women finished with nine first place efforts behind Randal Walker (weight throw – 13.27m), Julia Dannenbaum (pole vault-3.53m), Heidi Nassos (pole vault-3.53m), Elise Chao (triple jump-11.4m), Molly Shepherd(one-mile-5:17.06), Caitlin Cheeseboro (60m Hurdles-9.47), Sophie Grigaux (400m-1:00.62), Caira Watson Haynes (60m-8.24), Josephine Simon (200m-27.73) and the 4x400m relay (4:04.29).
