The Washington University in St. Louis women's track & field program earned a first-place finish by more than 40 points at the Titan Open hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University Saturday evening at the Shirk Center.

The WashU women finished with 152 points to outscore a group of 12 competing programs. Illinois Wesleyan placed second with 96 points as Lincoln College (40), Concordia University of Chicago (34) and Olivet Nazarene University (34) rounded out the top-five.

The WashU women had seven first place finishes, while the men posted six top marks. The women also had three finishes that ranked within the top-10 marks in Division III.

Junior Heidi Nassos placed first in the pole vault, clearing a distance of 3.75m, which ranks third in DIII. Freshman Elise Chao placed third overall in the triple jump with a mark of 11.41m which would tie for seventh best in DIII if not for her 11.43m mark of a week ago.
