Junior Emily Bryson became the first Brandeis University track and field individual champion since 1997 when she won the 3,000-meter run at the NCAA Division III Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championship. Her winning time of 9:33.99 was the ninth-fastest in Division III history and broke the school mark by nearly six seconds, the same as her margin of victory. Bryson also ran on the third-place distance medley relay to become the first Brandeis woman to earn multiple All-America honors at the same meet since 2003.
