MaTia Hughes of the New York University women's volleyball team has been named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Metro/Upstate Libero of the Week.

The sophomore from Atlanta, GA, compiled 86 digs in four matches at the Endicott Invitational on Friday and Saturday, September 5-6 in Beverly, MA. Hughes had a career-high 22 digs to go along with four service aces in the Violets's four-set victory over SUNY Canton. She later tied that career-high, as she added 22 digs against Roger Williams.

Hughes currently leads the Violets in digs (170) and ranks second on the team in service aces (11).
