Maroons Selected to NCAA Postseason For Fifth Consecutive Year

For the fifth-straight season, the University of Chicago volleyball team qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship on Monday.

UChicago's first round opponent is DePauw University, while Carthage College is serving as the regional host. The match will take place at 5:30 PM on Thursday. For more info, please click the Carthage Regional website link at the top of the page.

The Maroons posted a 26-12 record in the regular season and took runner-up at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship, which was won by Emory University. UChicago has made five appearances in the NCAA postseason, which have all occurred since 2010. DePauw enters the tournament with a 26-10 record. The Tigers finished second in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) to Wittenberg University.

In 2013, UChicago defeated Buffalo State University 3-1 in the first round before losing to Wittenberg 3-1 in the second round.
