Spartans Advance to 7-0 After Flawless First Night in Marcia French Invitational

The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team picked up a pair of wins to remain flawless on the first night of the Marcia French Invitational, defeating Buffalo State College and then Thiel College 3-0.

The Spartans kept their undefeated record for the season intact with the two wins, improving to 7-0 on the year.

CWRU defeated Buffalo state in the first match of the day 25-7, 25-22, 25-15.  The Spartans' performance was highlighted by a .404 attack percentage through the three sets.

Senior Carolyn Bogart led the Spartans with 10 kills, while enior Haley Kauffman collected nine. Senior Robyn Marks led the team with 18 assists, while senior Katie Best notched a squad-best 16 digs. 

CWRU would go on to earn another three-set victory over Thiel, 25-13, 25-14, 26-12. Carolyn Bogart again paced the Spartans on the attack with a team-best 12 kills, while junior Marian Barton added 11 to the tally. Robyn Marks led the team with 23 assists, and Katie Best tallied 13digs.
