Spartans Receive Bid to 2015 NCAA Volleyball Championship

From Case Western Reserve University Athletics

The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team was selected to the field of 64 for the 2015 NCAA Division III Championships, and will be heading to Huntingdon, Pennsylvania for the first three rounds of play.

This will be the Spartans' first NCAA appearance since the 2010 campaign, and just the second berth into the NCAA Championships in the program's history.  The Spartans received one of the 20 at-large bids to the NCAA Championship field.

Case Western Reserve ended the 2015 regular season with an overall record of 24-7, finishing third at the University Athletic Association Championships last weekend.

The Spartans' first-round opponent will be the University of Mary Washington (23-7), with the winner advancing to take on the winner of the first-round match between host and second-ranked Juniata College and Franciscan University.  On the other side of the draw, Heidelberg University (26-5) will play McDaniel College (20-8), while fifth-ranked Wittenberg University (24-2) will play Bluffton College (19-12).
