NYU Posts Wins Over Rowan and Cabrini

The New York University women's volleyball team recorded victories against Rowan University and Cabrini College on Saturday, October 24, in Glassboro, NJ.
 
The Violets' (13-14) first match was a three-set sweep (25-12, 25-18, 25-19) against Rowan Profs (11-16).
 
NYU maintained the advantage for the majority of the match, led by Shelby King who totaled 11 kills.
 
The Violets' second match was a 3-2 win (25-14, 25-21, 23-25, 12-25, 16-14) over Cabrini (21-8).
 
NYU secured the first two sets with ease, but couldn't continue the trend and dropped the third and fourth sets.
 
Rayne Ellis secured the victory for the Violets with a block on the final point. She also totaled 15 kills for the match.
 
"Statistically, this was the best match we've played so far," Head Coach Jolie Ward said. "The team fought hard and came together as a unit to get the job done."
 
MATCH ONE HIGHLIGHTS:

Alexis Jackson finished the contest with seven kills.

Nicole Frias totaled six kills.

- King notched five aces.
 
MATCH TWO HIGHLIGHTS:

- Frias contributed 12 kills.

- King notched 15 kills.

Brooke Tannahill finished with 23 digs.
