The No. 8-ranked Emory volleyball team began an eight-match road swing in impressive fashion Tuesday evening, recording a victory over South Region foe Berry College. The Eagles notched their fifth straight victory and raised their overall record to 9-3 following a 3-0 triumph (25-21, 25-23, 25-19) over the Vikings who slipped to 8-4.

Emory concluded the contest hitting .367 (46-10—98), its second-highest mark of the season, compared to Berry's effort of .189 (31-14—90). It represented the ninth time this season the Eagles enjoyed an edge in attack percentage.

Senior Jessica Holler, who on Monday was named UAA Player of the Week, topped all players with 14 kills and registered an outstanding attack percentage of .560 (14-0—25).  It was the fourth time this season she hit .500 or higher and the ninth contest that she finished with double figures in terminations. Senior Sarah Maher hit .333 on the strength of nine kills (second high on the team) with three miscues in 18 attempts, while chipping in seven digs. The sophomore tandem of Sydney Leimbach and Karissa Dzurik each totaled seven kills with Leimbach hitting .500 (7-1—12) and Dzurik .412 (7-0—17).  Senior Kathryn Trinka also finished with seven successful attack attempts.  Freshman Sarah Porterand junior Hannah Billings dished out 21 and 19 assists, respectively, while freshmen Andie McKinnon and Sarah Carr tied for team honors with 10 digs apiece.
