Rochester used double figures in kills by Alexandra Nelligan and Alexnadra Goldman to post a 3-1 victory over Elizabethtown College in the Blue Jay Classic on Friday evening.

It was Rochester's seventh win of the season against three losses. Elizabethtown slipped to 3-7. Rochester will play Rowan University and Messiah College on Saturday.

The Yellowjackets won the first two sets, 25-19 and 25-16. E-town took the third set, 27-25, before Rochester clinched the victory with a 25-23 win in the fourth set.

Nelligan and Goldman each had 11 kills. They combined for 11 blocks as well – eight for Goldman and three for Nelligan. Aimee Kohler had two blocks to go along with 44 assists, 14 digs, and two service aces.

In all, the Yellowjackets had 11 aces. Megan McHugh had three as did Courtney Vidovich and Meghan Connor. McHugh added six kills to the winning cause. Alara Kocak had nine kills and Shira Katz had seven.

Vidovich had seven digs. Connor dug 12 balls. Rochester hit .182 for the match while E-town hit .098. The Yellowjackets produced their best hitting performance in the match with a .276 effort in set four.
