Chicago Hosting Second Volleyball Round Robin; Maroons Enter Undefeated in UAA Play

University of Chicago, the only team to finish undefeated in the first weekend of UAA play, will host the second volleyball round robin on Saturday and Sunday.

Chicago, ranked 13th in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25 Poll, posted a 3-0 mark at the first round robin two weeks ago in Cleveland. The Maroons are currently on an 11-match winning streak.

Fourth-ranked Emory University, 10th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University, 20th-ranked Washington University, and unranked Case Western Reserve University each enter the weekend with 2-1 records in UAA play.

The University of Rochester finished 1-2 in the opening weekend of UAA play. Brandeis University and NYU are seeking their first UAA wins of the season.

Each team will play four matches this weekend to complete round robin play and set the seeding for the UAA Volleyball Championship to be held at Emory University, Nov. 4-5.
