Four Carnegie Mellon Runners Earn All-Academic Honors From USTFCCCA

Each class year was represented as four Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country members were named to the All-Academic team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Senior architecture and environmental science major Catherine Paquette (Bethel, Ohio/Archbishop McNicholas), junior biology major Hailey Brown (Wellsville, N.Y./Wellsville), sophomore material science and biomedical engineering major Rekha Schnepf (McLean, Va./Thomas Jefferson HS for Sci. & Tech), and freshman international relations and politics major Emily Joyce (Carlisle, Pa./Big Spring) garnered All-Academic team honors from USTFCCCA.

The team earned honors sporting a 3.52 cumulative average and has been honored since the USTFCCCA began the All-Academic program.

The USTFCCCA All-Academic award honors those student-athletes who have succeeded both academically and athletically. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.3 cumulative grade point average and must have finished among the top 25 percent of the field at their respective NCAA regional meet.
