From Washington University Athletics
Senior Lucy Cheadle of Washington University raced to the women's individual title in the field of 559 runners with a career-best time of 20:44.0 at the UW-Oshkosh AAE Invitational.
Her time was more than 17 seconds faster than her previous career-best for the distance. Cheadle defeated the runner-up, Sophia Meehan of Johns Hopkins University, by more than 12 seconds.
The top-seven runners for the Washington University women each ran career-best 6K times to lead the Bears to seventh overall in the field of 42 teams with 215 points.
Junior Ellen Toennies also ran a career-best time for the WUSTL women, placing 20th overall in a time of 21:45.91.
