The University of Chicago women's cross country team posted a well-rounded effort that led to victory at the Augustana College Brissman-Lundeen Invitational on Friday.
The Maroons were first out of 35 teams on the women's side. UChicago scored 115 points while runner-up Olivet Nazarene totaled 146 points.
Junior Brianna Hickey paced the squad with a seventh-place showing out of 498 runners in 22:00.8. Freshman Megan Verner-Crist was the next Maroon across the finish line in 22:53.7 (20th place). Senior Isabella Penido was close behind in 22nd place at 22:55.3.
