CWRU Places Sixth at Penn-State Behrend Invitational

The Case Western Reserve University women's cross country team competed in the 2015 Penn-State Behrend Invitational on Saturday morning.

The women's team placed sixth of 17 teams.

Leading the six Spartan women to score, freshman Sophie Trikeriotis finished 14th overall, crossing the finish line with a time of 20:45.10. Sohpomore Elena Polivka crossed the line with a time of 21:36.00 for 22nd and freshman Amy Lin finished next with a time of 22:06.30 for 33rd. Sophomores Kate Erickson and Claire Plunkett finished with times of 22:16.20 and 22:44.20, for 35th and 44th overall. Freshman Maria DeRenzo rounded out the scoring contingent for the Spartans in 24:16.30, for 66th place.

The women's scoring contingent averaged a time of 21:53.60, while the men averaged a time of 28:08.20.
