From Case Western Reserve University Athletics
The Case Western Reserve University men's cross country team played host to John Carroll University and Ursuline College at the 15th Annual Bill Sudeck Stampede at Sundown at the Squire Valleevue Farms in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
Senior Kelsey Aamoth (Solon, Ohio/Solon) took the title and led the Spartan women to a first place finish after finishing her first 4K of the season with a time of 15:14.9, 0:48 seconds before any other competitor. Kristen Ruckstuhl (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) came across the line for second place with a time of 16:03.4. The Spartans also took fourth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth place. Senior Dana Jeter (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) finished next with a time of 16:13.6, followed by the pack of senior Evy Hail (), sohpomore Danielle Kulpins (Brookfield, Wis. / Brookfield Central), sophomore Rachel Laveson (Annandale, Va. / Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology) and senior Veronica Cole (Lakewood, Ohio / Lakewood) with times of 16:21.40, 16:26.10, 16:27.00 and 16:28.40, respectively.
