The Emory men’s women’s cross country team came through with a solid outing on Friday at the Charlotte Invitational. The competition was held at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, NC.

The No. 26-ranked women accumulated 72 points and trailed NCAA Division I members Davidson (44 pts.), Charlotte (48 pts.) and College of Charleston (72 pts.). Senior Elise Viox spearheaded the team’s showing with a 6K time of 22:56 that placed 11th out of 107 entries. Sophomore Gabrielle Stravach was second on the squad and 18th overall, coming through with a mark of 23:19. 

Junior Mia Eisenhandler was third among the Eagle contingent and 21st in the field after compiling a 23:29.  Sophomore Megan Waples turned in a personal-best performance of 23:32 that slotted her 24th, and rounding out the team’s scorers was sophomore Grace Pixler (23:34, 27th place).
