Lily Corsaro, a senior captain on the New York University women's cross country team, was the Violets' lone competitor at the NCAA Division III Championship, which was held on Saturday, November 21, at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne, WI.

Corsaro ran a time of 22:55.6 over the 6k course. Overall, 280 runners competed.

Abrah Materson of Cornell College won the individual title, while Williams College won the team championship with 81 points.

"Lily gave a good effort and ended her career at the NCAA Championship, which is a cool experience," said NYU Head Coach Will Boylan-Pett. "She qualified three out of her four years, just missing last season when she was injured. This is the end of a stellar cross-country career."

Corsaro earned All-America honors as a sophomore when she finished 34th at the NCAA Championship and helped lead the Violets to a best-ever sixth-place team finish.

Corsaro also helped lead the Violets to a 22nd-place team finish at the NCAA Championship during her freshman campaign.

"I'm just really happy for Lily and I expect she'll continue a strong senior year when we begin the indoor track season," Boylan-Pett added.
