From Case Western Reserve University Athletics
Case Western Reserve University junior Danielle Kulpins earned all-region honors on Saturday, placing 20th at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region Championships in Holland, Michigan, and helping the Spartans finish 11th out of 31 teams at the meet.
Case Western Reserve finished the meet with a score of 333. Calvin won the women's region with a score of 90, followed by Allegheny in second place with a mark of 120, and Hope in third with a score of 128.
Kulpins crossed the finish line with a time of 22:28.5 to earn all-region honors for the first time in her career. She was followed by sophomore Jennifer Hoffmann, who finished 62nd overall with a mark of 23:27.3, while freshman Vanessa Pasadyn tallied a 68th-place finish with a time of 23:38.1. Rounding out the Spartans' scoring finishers were sophomore Isa Torres-Padin in 84th-place with a time of 23:57.1 and junior Rachel Laveson in 99th-place with a time of 24:12.7.
Other finishers for the Spartans on Saturday were freshman Madeline Lindemann in 115th place (24:29.5) and sophomore Sophie Trikeriotis in 118th place (24:30.3).
The meet concludes the 2016 season for the Spartans.
