CWRU Finishes Sixth at Inter-Regional Rumble

The Case Western Reserve University women's cross country team placed sixth out of 32 teams at the Oberlin Invitational in Oberlin, Ohio on Saturday morning.

The Spartans finished the meet with a score of 202 to earn the sixth-place finish in the varsity 6K race.  Host Oberlin won the women's portion of the race with a score of 94, edging out second-place Waynesburg University (96 points) and third-place DePauw University (167).

The Spartans' top finisher was junior Danielle Kulpins, who placed 11th out of 255 runners at the meet with a time of 22:19.0.  She was followed sophomore Jennifer Hoffmann in 25th-place with a time of 22:41.0, and junior Rachel Laveson with a time of 23:09.6, with both of their times representing career-best marks.

Sophomore Isa Torres-Padin was the team's fourth finisher, crossing the line with a time of 23:12.6 to place 54th, and freshman Vanessa Pasadyn rounded out the CWRU top-five with a time of 23:23.0 to finish 69th overall.  Completing the top-seven for the Spartans were freshman Madeline Lindemann with a time of 23:36.8 to place 78th overall, and sophomore Sophie Trikeriotis with a time of 23:37.0 to place 79th overall.
