The New York University women's cross country team competed at the Rowan University Inter-Regional Boarder Battle on Saturday, October 15, in Glassboro, NJ.

The Violets placed 30th in the 6K race, compiling 921 total points. Johns Hopkins University claimed victory with 71 points.

"We're at a point in the season where we are trying to get some of our top runners back from injury," said Head Coach Erison Hurtault. "Cross country is really a team sport and the competition was tough today, so I thought we performed much better than the result indicated."

Overall, 45 teams and 386 runners competed in the race.
