NYU Finishes Eighth at UAA Championship

The New York University women's cross country team came in eighth place at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship for the second straight year. This year's championship was hosted by Emory University at the McIntosh Reserve Park in Whitesburg, GA.

NYU totaled 209 points over the 6K course, trailing seventh place Carnegie Mellon University by 10 points. Washington University in St. Louis defended their UAA Championship title for the third straight year with 33 points.

Junior Lara Dorsky was NYU's first finisher in 30th place, posting a time of 23:12.35. Senior Justine Morris trailed close behind in 34th with a time of 23:22.38.

There were 78 runners competing on Saturday.

HIGHLIGHTS:

- Junior Megan Davis finished in 53rd place with a time of 24:10.67.
 
- Fellow classmate Emily Dethlefs took 60th in a time of 24:19.11.

- Coming in 62nd was senior Erica Bohdan (24:23.89).
