Emory to Host UAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday

The Emory University men's and women's country teams return to action on Saturday (Oct. 29) when they host the 30th Annual University Athletic Association Championships. The Championships will be held at McIntosh Reserve Park in Whitesburg, Ga., with the men's 8K starting at 10:30 am followed by the women's 6K at 11:15 am.

Four UAA men's teams and three women's teams are nationally ranked in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Top 35 Poll. 

MEN

Defending UAA champion Carnegie Mellon University enters the championship as the top-ranked UAA team, being ranked 10th in the latest national poll. 

Washington University seeks its sixth Association title in seven years. The Bears are ranked 13th in NCAA Division III.

NYU is ranked 18th and the host Eagles are ranked 22nd.

WOMEN

Washington University is looking to capture its third consecutive Association championship and is ranked fourth in NCAA Division III.

University of Chicago, which won back-to-back UAA titles in 2012 and 2013, is ranked 12th. Emory is ranked 19th.
