Maroons Win Again at Aurora Invitational

For the second consecutive meet, the University of Chicago cross country team emerged victorious at the Aurora University Invitational on Friday.

One week after the men and women both won the University of St. Francis (Ill.) Invite, UChicago repeated the feat at Aurora. 

The women's 6K ended in favor of the Maroons with 31 points. St. Francis was second of the 14 teams with 52 points. With 144 racers participating, the Maroon women put seven of its runners in the top 20.

Junior Kelsey Dunn was the top runner for UChicago, taking third place in 23:03.62. She was joined in the top 10 by senior Madeleine Horvath (5th, 23:11.47), junior Claire Costelloe (6th, 23:16.16) and junior Cassidy McPherson (8th, 23:19.09).
