Washington University Wins Third Consecutive UAA Women's Cross Country Championship

The Washington University in St. Louis women's cross country team ran to a first place finish at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship in Atlanta, Georgia, Saturday morning.

Women's Results

The women's title was the 15th UAA cross country title in school history. It was also the third consecutive season that the women have won the title.

Junior Aly Wayne finished with a season best time of 21:25.29, more than 20 seconds in front of the second place finisher, to capture the individual UAA title. Joining Wayne on the All-UAA first team was sophomore Ellie Degen (fourth) and juniors Anna Maurer (sixth) and Alison Lindsay (seventh).

This marks the second consecutive season that Degen and Lindsay have earned All-UAA first team honors.
