Washington University Takes Title at Wheaton Gil Dodds Invitational

Junior Aly Wayne led seven top-seven finishers for the Washington University in St. Louis women's cross country team as the Bears won the team title at the Gil Dodds Invitational hosted by Wheaton College (Ill.) Saturday morning.

Wayne raced to the first individual title of her career with a 6K time of 22:00 to win by 27 seconds over sophomore teammate Ellie Degen. The Bears recorded all top-seven finishers in the race as the WashU women won the team title over 13 other teams. The Bears scored 15 points to cruise past Wheaton, who finished second with 64 points.
